RNC Update
Trump, Vance, and public transit
We’ve wrapped up two days of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It has been great to hear from many amazing speakers in person. Last night, I had the privilege of spending most of the session on the floor of the convention as a delegate. I was selected as an alternate delegate for President Trump by his Idaho campaign team in March, but the delegate team has been extremely gracious in letting alternates switch with them. Special shout out to Steve Linden!
At 8:02pm CDT, Trump entered the Fiserv Forum and walked right past Idaho’s delegation about 25 feet away from where I was standing. Shortly before this, JD Vance entered along the same route and even shook hands with members of our delegation in the row closest to the red carpet. This was an insane experience and I’m extremely blessed for the opportunity to have been there.
In addition, I have had the opportunity to interact with the working class here in Milwaukee as I have been traveling on public bus primarily. Nearly everybody is friendly and helpful in trying to find temporary bus stops in the soft zone and other directions. When I get back to Idaho, I would like to try out the Boise transit system and see how the two compare. Overall, I have been very impressed with the setup out here.
